Mumbai, India — In a significant move to bolster its sports technology and content portfolio, global technology and content company Minute Media has announced the acquisition of VideoVerse. The acquisition, which was announced on September 9, 2025, integrates VideoVerse's AI-driven platform, Magnifi, into Minute Media's existing operations. This strategic move is expected to provide a comprehensive solution for rights holders, leagues, teams, publishers, and marketers, covering everything from content creation to monetization.

VideoVerse’s key product, Magnifi, is a leading AI-driven SaaS platform that allows content owners and rights holders to automatically identify key moments in real-time, generate highlights, and efficiently distribute short-form video content. Its client roster includes notable names such as FIFA+, the Indian Super League, and the Portuguese Football Federation. The platform utilizes AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to analyze video and audio cues, creating enhanced content for fans. Magnifi also incorporates GenAI features like multilingual subtitling, automatic thumbnail generation, and metadata creation, establishing itself as a complete editorial workspace for content teams.

According to Asaf Peled, Founder and CEO of Minute Media, the acquisition will create a "full-stack solution from creation to distribution to monetization" for teams and leagues. He added that Minute Media's brands and partners will benefit from "the very best in AI-powered creation". For existing Magnifi clients, this partnership means they will now have access to Minute Media’s robust distribution and monetization solutions, which will help them improve the return on investment for their video assets.

The acquisition also underscores India’s growing importance in the global AI and sports technology sectors. With support from investors like Alpha Wave Global and Venture East, VideoVerse has established itself as a key player. Minute Media plans to continue investing in India to further advance next-generation AI video capabilities. The integration of VideoVerse's technology is expected to drive enhancements across Minute Media’s ecosystem, including its STN Video platform and owned brands like

Sports Illustrated and The Players' Tribune. This merger marks a significant step towards creating a more streamlined and efficient sports content ecosystem on a global scale.
